URBAN Hotel Group Ironman Australia

  • Hello and Welcome to the 2012 URBAN Hotel Group Ironman Australia at wonderful Port Macquarie.
  • A busy day for the Ironman expo

  • Ironman at Port Macquarie has certainly attracted a cross section of triathlon 'gliterati' today, with Leader of the Opposition, Tony Abbott, World Champion, Craig Alexander and TV host and star, Daniel MacPherson all seen around the Ironman village today.
  • Is there anything as quiet as an Ironman town on Carbo Party night? Not so quiet at the party!
  • One day to go to Ironman Australia and the best news for athletes is the day is bright, fine and mild!
  • Good Morning Port Macquarie

  • Runners in the Saturday morning Port Iron 5Km dash

  • Ironman tough Toyotas

  • The country break down for Sunday's race is interesting, with New Zealand fielding the most numbers after the host country, Australia and then it's the UK, followed by the USA and New Caledonia. The Philippines is next from Germany, Reunion Islands, and Singapore. There altogether 18 countries represented in Port Macquarie.
  • Of the host nation, it's New South Wales, followed by Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
  • The Gatorade stand in the Ironman expo

  • There'll be a lot of athletes refuelling on Power Bar in Sunday's Ironman

  • The pathways on the run are prepared by friends, relatives and family members with words of encouragement and competitor names and numbers

  • And now for one last night's (restless?) sleep... the bike computer says it all!

  • AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE, OI! OI! OI!
