  • Alexandra Louison is suffering today, it would appear. She lost four minutes in the first 5 km to the women ahead of her and is now 15 minutes behind. She won an Ironman distance race three weeks ago - it would appear that might have taken something out of the legs of the 2007 Ironman France champion.
  • Through 15.8 km Amey remains in third, 13:03 behind Van Lierde.
  • Zamora remains in fourth through 15.8 km and is still over 17 minutes behind.

  • Frederik Van Lierde just did the first half marathon here today in 1:21:05. If he were to do that again, he'd miss the run course record, held by Marcel Zamora, by 2 seconds.
  • Alexandra Louison souffre aujourd'hui. Elle a perdu 4 minutes sur la femme etant juste devant elle dans les 5 premiers kms et est maintenant 15 minutes en arriere. Bien qu'ayant gagner une course de type Iron Man il y a quelques semaines - Il semblerait que ceci a ôter quelque chose des jambes de la gagnante de 2007.

  • With Jeanne Collonge just finishing the first run loop, we have four women within four minutes of each other!
  • Alexandra Louison is not doing too well, we're told - she's just gone through 7.5 km 16-minutes behind our race leader Silvia Felt.
  • Now the fun begins. The last 20 km of the men's race appears to be setting up for a battle for the top-three spots on the podium. Van Lierde appears to be on track for his first Ironman win, with Chabaud in good shape for second if he can hold his pace. The question is whether or not Marcel Zamora can find another gear and catch Paul Amey. It should be fun to watch!
  • Alors que la première boucle est finie pour la tete de course chez les femmes, nous nous rendons compte que les trois boucles suivante vont etre trés interresante avec quatres femmes en moins de quatres minutes les unes des autres. Et Alexandra Louison en retard de plus de 15 minutes sur les premières.
  • Maintenant, que le fun commence. Chez les hommes, les prochains 20 Kilometres promettent une bataille acharnée pour les trois meilleures place M Van Lierde semble en forme, en route pour sa première victoire Ironman, avec Chabaud en bonne place pour second si il parvient à garder sa place. La question etant si oui ou non Zamora trouvera un moyen de rattraper et dépasser Paul Amey. Et nous en prendrons plein les yeux !

  • Zamora has now moved into third place through 25 km - Paul Amey seems to be struggling with some cramps and has slowed.

    The two are running together right now - we'll see if Amey can get back on track and finish out the last 17 km of the marathon with the Spaniard.
