Ironman 70.3 St. Croix

  • Welcome to Ironman 70.3 St. Croix.
This year’s race will have no returning champions on the men’s side as recent champions Tim O’Donnell and Craig Alexander are both focusing on upcoming full Ironman events. That leaves men’s pro race wide open. The women’s side is a different story. Scotland’s Catriona Morrison has won this race the past two years and, in 2009, not only beat current Ironman world champion Carfrae by almost three minutes, she outran Carfrae by almost six minutes. A “dark horse” to watch in the women’s race is Angela Naeth. The 27-year-old Canadian had the fastest bike time in seven of the eight 70.3’s she entered last year and recently outbiked Morrison at the Ironman 70.3 Texas event. (Morrison soundly outran Naeth, though, as they finished first and second.)
