  • At approx 10 miles, Heather Jackson has cut nearly another minute from McQuaid's lead. She's now right at 3 minutes back. 1 min per mile is a tall order to make up on a champion like Melanie McQuaid.
  • Primarily known for her countless Xterra wins worldwide and 3 world championships as well as the 2011 ITU Cross Triathlon World Champion, Melanie McQuaid is no stranger to Ironman 70.3 racing. In fact, she was the 2010 Ironman 70.3 Lake Stevens winner. She certainly looks to be on her way to her 2nd Ironman 70.3 title today.
