    At mile 5, Potts has been able to maintain his lead. Twelsiek is now almost 10 minutes back, with Millward now 15 minutes back (he was 13:30 back out of T2). The heat is starting to really put its fingerprint on this race. #IMCDA
    Potts is running a low 6 minute mile pace--likely the reason he's maintaining his position. The next fastest runner behind him is Stephen Kilshaw, running in the high 6's. #IMCDA
    Our spotters report that Potts' gap is growing by about :30 a mile! He wants another title here, doesn't he? #IMCDA

    Twelsiek is focused.

    Twelsiek has faded to 15 min back, at mile 7.5 still in second. Milward in 2nd 14 min back of Potts #IMCDA

    At mile 10 Potts' gap has grown to a staggering 15 minutes on Twelsiek who is taking his time getting his fluids in. 3, 4 and 5 (Millward, Kilshaw, Wurtele) are all right there, looking strong and motivated for podium spots. #IMCDA

    Pain train at mile 10

    Apparently Amber Ferreira and Jen Annett got drafting penalties on the bike. They're now 4th and 6th on the run, respectively. #IMCDA
    Amber Ferreira is closing the gap quickly, running a quick pace in 4th 13 min back. Probably about to take 3rd...#IMCDA
    Millward and Wurtele neck in neck for 2nd, 17 min behind Potts. #IMCDA

    Jackson almost to the turnaround.

    Ferreira now in 3rd, Blakemore in 4th. Stevens still 4 min back of Jackson, who is now at mile 6.5. Schwabenbaeur in 5th
    Barring a catastrophic blow-up, this is Jackson's race to win. She just keeps opening up more and more of a gap. She's now past mile 7.22. #IMCDA
