Symonds, running in fourth appears to be running the fastest out on the course and looks like he has chopped off a over two and half minutes off his deficit since the end of the bike. He is still looking at a 17 minute difference, but is closing in on Ambrose as the men's race passes 20 km's.

At 11 km's, Madison has gain a little breathing room, but not much as she has only 39 second buffer on Thibodeau. Wee has faded back to 2:06 off the leaders pace.
What race for second through fourth in the men's race: Vanhoenacker has a commanding lead of 15:10 on Wurtele, however, Wurtele has Symonds breathing down his neck, just 18 seconds behind him. Ambrose is running in fourth and looking at a 17:03 deficit to overcome.
Madison has just run through 13 km's and stretched out her lead to a 56 second advantage over Thibodeau. Wee has stalled out in third, now sitting 2:05 back. This is anyone's race with the top three within two minutes of each other and plenty of race left to be raced. Any kind of a rough patch could see anyone of these women quickly loose a position or two.
Arendt isn't completely out of this race as she is running in fourth, less than five minutes off the pace at 13 km's.
