  • #IMArizona Less than a minute separates Cathy Yndestad and Amanda Wendorff at the front of the women's age group race through 56 miles.
  • #IMArizona Heather Jackson has been gaining time on Lisa Huetthaler - we're anxiously awaiting the next split to see if she's moved to 3rd.
  • The wind is really picking up and slowing the riders down on the way out to the turnaround of the bike here at Ironman Arizona today. Jordan Rapp's pace heading out has been: 23.2, 22.0 and 19.5 mph for each of the l. For that same split for the first two laps on the way back he went 31.3 and 33.9 mph.
  • Brent McMahon has finally started to crack a bit - heading into the wind towards the final turnaround he's been passed by Maik Twelsiek. He's still less than four minutes down, though, which is pretty impressive considering how well Jordan Rapp has been riding today.
Here are the splits for the first four at 93 miles:

    1 4:30:59 1 Jordan Rapp USA
    2 4:33:18 2:19 14 Clemente Alonso Mckernan ESP
    3 4:33:43 2:44 4 Maik Twelsiek DEU
    4 4:34:23 3:24 7 Brent McMahon CAN
  • #IMArizona Through 82 miles Heather Jackson has moved into second place with Lisa Huetthaler right behind. They are 12 mins behind Kessler.
  • Oops - our bad on Jordan Rapp's halfway split earlier today - he was actually 2:09:41, not 2:02. The conditions have been much tougher than the weatherman predicted - a lot more wind out there!
  • Here are the men's splits through 93 miles. The last stretch into the wind has done some damage on the men trying to stay in touch with Jordan Rapp:
    1 4:30:59 1 Jordan Rapp USA
    2 4:33:18 2:19 14 Clemente Alonso Mckernan ESP
    3 4:33:43 2:44 4 Maik Twelsiek DEU
    4 4:34:23 3:24 7 Brent McMahon CAN
    5 4:37:59 7:00 3 Tim O'Donnell USA
    6 4:38:02 7:03 24 Markus Fachbach DEU
