Sarah Haskins has reported in her blog on Friday that she has a foot injury and will not be racing on Sunday in Racine. Her absence is disappointing, but the women's field is still very strong and deep.

Last year a healthy Starykowicz ran a 1:18 here in Racine while Sanders ran a 1:09 for the win. In addition, Starykowicz competed in Germany last weekend and has a full distance in his legs and then throw in international travel.
Wurtele has just bike through 34 miles with Neath +2:44 off the pace.
Starykowicz has opened up a +4:19 lead on Giardini at 42 miles. Sanders is third, +5:13 off the pace while Chrabot has slipped to fourth, +5:46.

Sanders hammered out a not-to-shabby 2:03:53 bike split, however was still +3:21 off of Starykowicz's pace of 2:00:32.
Starykowicz has just gone through 3.2 miles on the run and we are waiting for Sanders to see what the gap is between the two.
Wurtele opened it up during the late stages of the bike and holds a 4:10 advantage over Neath heading out on the run.
Sanders just clawed back 2:41 of Starykowicz's lead over the opening 3.2 miles of the run. Sanders is now just +4:10 back to the leader with a ton of racing left.
