  • Ochsner IRONMAN 70.3 New Orleans

    New Orleans is one of the world's most fascinating cities that is known for Mardi Gras celebrations. The culture of the southern city has a history of influences from Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond and
    is the home to a truly unique melting pot of culture, food and music.
    On Sunday morning, the partying and the culture will be placed to the side briefly as athletes from around the world compete in the 2015 Ochsner IRONMAN 70.3 New Orleans.

    Featured men: Andy Potts, Tim Reed, Ben Hoffman, Trevor Wurtele, Matt Charbot, James Seear and Chris MacDonald.
    Featured women: 
    Haley Chura, Laura Goss, Cait Snow, Sarah Piampiano and Laura Siddall.

  • The race has just started for the pro athletes after a 30-minute delay in New Orleans.
  • A beautiful start to the race!

  • Andy Potts showed the men out of the water first with a 18:35 swim. Eric Limkemann, Matt Charbot and Drew Scott were seconds back with Tim Reed and Mark Bowstead over a minute off the leaders pace.
  • Jen Spieldenner led the women out of the water with Lauren Goss nipping at her heels a second back. A trio of women followed the leaders up the ramp 10 seconds later and contained Tami Richie, Katy Blakemore and Ashley Clifford

  • Bike Course

  • A courageous Kimberly Guinn is out of the water and on the bike course.  A year ago, her husband Frank was killed while he was preparing to compete in the 2014 Ironman 70.3 New Orleans. Frank was pre-riding the course when he was struck by a vehicle. This year, Kimberly is competing under the watchful eye of theirthree daughters.

  • Matt Charbot has stormed into T2 with Andy Potts following him seven seconds later.
