  • We are expecting one more update for the women's bike from our spotter waiting at mile 46. With Holly Lawrence's ITU run speed, the chasers need to close some of this gap late in the ride
  • At mile 46, Lawrence's lead is up to 3:20 over Angela Naeth, 3:40 over Heather Jackson, 4:15 over Heather Wurtele and 4:30 on Alicia Kaye.
  • Carrie Lester and Rachel McBride have come thru 46 miles 8:05 down from the leader
  • The pro men are into T2. Sanders was first out on the run course, but only by a few seconds on the chase pack of 5. What a run this is setting up to be!
  • Look how tight that bike finish was

  • #IM703Cali is in full swing. How many members of the USMC are getting their first exposure to lycra, er, triathlon?

  • Angela Naeth has had to pull into the penalty tent in T2. That's why she wasn't out with Heather Jackson

  • At the first turn around at mile 3.6, Frodeno has opened at 10 second gap on Sanders. Is this his move to open the race?
  • The two of them have really put the hurt the others though as the gap to 3rd 7 4th place is now 56 seconds
  • Our spotters are still very happy to announce little to no wind and the temperature is about right for a nice 13.1 mile run...not hot hot, just right. Than again they are not running!
