The men through 80 miles: We still have Maik Twelsiek in the lead, followed immediately by Paul Ambrose, who is once again happy to sit behind. Mathias Hecht is in third at 1:15.
Heather Wurtele has finally started to gain some time on Ironrookie Jodie Swallow. Over the last ten miles of the bike she's gained almost a minute and a half, but remains over 8:30 back in third.
Wurtele continues to make a move on the bike - she's now only 52 seconds behind Meredith Kessler. Kessler remains in second, seven minutes behind Swallow, while Wurtele has moved to 7:52 behind the leader.
The word is that Michi Weiss has moved to within five minutes of the lead.

Jodie Swallow has taken the Timex bike prime - she didn't have to sprint as she remains well ahead of the rest of her competition here in Utah.
The race leaders are just heading up to the Wall - we should have some splits from the men's race momentarily.
Things are starting to really heat up - the word is that the athletes are struggling to cool down as they work their way through this tough course.

There are some fast runners in the women's field here today - Tamara Kozulina and Kelly Liljeblad are of special notice - but they are well behind our race leader Jodie Swallow at this point.
Twelsiek finally breaks away! The German has opened up a gap of 1:25 on Paul Ambrose at the top of the wall, with Hecht still riding in third at 1:55.
Through 80 miles Jodie Swallow has once again managed to pull away from the other women - her lead is 7:30 on Meredith Kessler and 8:12 on Heather Wurtele.

Through the wall, we've learned that Maik Twelsiek broke away. Behind him were: Ambrose at 1:10, Hecht at 1:38, Hoffman at 4:06, Michi Weiss at 7:12 and TJ Tollakson at 7:12.
Defending men's champion Michael Weiss was about five minutes slower out of the water today than he was last year. It seems like he's had a rough time getting himself towards the front - although chasing Maik Twelsiek is never an easy task! (Twelsiek has posted some of the fastest bike
split times in Kona over the last few years.)

Through 90 miles of the women's race, Jodie Swallow continues to lead the way, followed at 7:25 by Meredith Kessler and 7:54 at 7:54.
The word is that Michael Weiss is suffering from cramps and is pulling out of the race here today.
Heather Wurtele managed to gain a bit of time on the wall - she's now just seven seconds behind Meredith Kessler. They're both 7:30 behind Swallow.
Through 103 miles Maik Twelsiek continues to lead the way, with Hecht at 2:31, Ambrose at 4:15 and Ben Hoffman at 5:10 behind.
Twelsiek is on his way into transition. I can hear Mike Reilly announcing his arrival from the finish line.
More of the men through 103 miles: in fourth place is Ben Hoffman at 5:10, in fifth is TJ Tollakson at 9:08 and in sixth we have Mike Aigroz at 10:01.

TJ Tollakson and Mike Aigroz have both finished the bike - they are 9:48 and 10:30 back.
We've had more of an update on Michael Weiss - he was having cramps and bike spasms, which forced him out of the race today. He's now going to aim for Ford Ironman Lake Placid, which will take place two weeks before his wedding. His future father-in-law will be doing his first Ironman in Lake Placid.
Through 100 miles of the women's race Heather Wurtele has finally managed to get past Meredith Kessler. The Canadian is riding in second, 7:18 back, while Kessler is only six seconds behind the defending champion.
Through the first mile of the run we have Maik Twelsiek in front, with Mathias Hecht in second at 3:25. Then we have Hoffman at 5:08, Ambrose at 5:50. TJ Tollakson and Mike Aigroz running together at 10:10.

The men through 2 miles: Twelsiek's lead is now up to 3:46 on Hecht. Ben Hoffman has gained a bit of time - he's now 5:02 behind the German leader. Paul Ambrose is in fourth - he's 6:15 behind.
Twelsiek has gone through four miles of the run - he continues to run well through the opening miles of the marathon here in St. George.
Through 103 miles, Jodie Swallow's lead is 7:02 over Wurtele and 7:16 on Meredith Kessler. Swallow has been suffering from a foot injury all winter, so it will be interesting to see how things develop through the marathon here today.
Through four miles Mathias Hecht is running in second, five minutes behind race-leader Maik Twelsiek. Hoffman has lost some time over the last couple of miles - he now trails by 5:30.
Paul Ambrose remains in fourth place, but he's losing time to Maik Twelsiek - the Australian is seven-minutes down through four miles.
Things keep switching up in the men's race - Ben Hoffman has made a bit of a move again and is now five minutes down. Hecht is also gaining some time - he's now 4:20 behind Twelsiek in second.

Jodie Swallow has led the way into T2 - as she has from the start of this race. She's now out on the run course. Behind her Heather Wurtele has made up more ground - through 110 miles the Canadian was 5:53 back, while Kessler remains in third at 7:09 behind.
