  • The tropics (Singapore is just over the equator) will mean we have darkness in Singapore until 7:00am - close to our swim start. The good news for competitors is that the light comes up quickly !

  • Just half an hour left till transition closes ahead of the first swim start. Athletes are making final preparations ready to embark on the journey ahead that is Ironman 70.3
  • It's going to be a warm day make sure you apply lots of sun cream - available in the presentation marquee

  • We are Only 8 minutes away from Race director Graeme Hannan's final briefing. Anticipation continues to build!
  • Just 5 minutes till transition closes athletes need to start making there way out of the area ready for the swim
  • Just incase you weren't awake ahead of our first swim start in just ten minutes time the guys at drums works are doing their best to ensure everyone is wide awake and ready to race

  • We are less than 2 mins away from our pro start!

  • The professional field are in the water, next up pink caps the women's field

  • Age group women have 8 minutes till their start

  • Our first pro men finish the first lap of the swim. New Zealand's Dylan McNeice leading them out.

  • USA's Mary Beth Ellis leading the pro woman through finish of lap 1 in the swim.
  • First males pro, Dylan Mcneice, Denis Vasiliev, Josh Amberger , Christian Kemp and in the second group Mary Beth Ellis wins the women's swim
  • 18-24 and 45+ are now in water
  • Ollie whistler race number 1 in second swim group, age group females starting to come out of water on first lap as we await our second pro female
  • Kate Bevilaqua from Perth in Wa second pro put of water followed by Ali Fitch in third
  • First age group female after first lap was Julliana Bahr Thompson
  • Michelle Wu leaves the water in fourth place and our yellow caps men's 25-34 start their swim
  • The one armed runner is about to complete his first lap of the Swim
  • Out on the bike course and #9 Josh Amberger heads the lead pack of 4
  • Adam the one armed runner leaving the swim after his first lap

  • #1 Ollie Whistler leads the chase pack of 6. amazingly our first place female Mary Beth Ellis is in this group!

  • On the 1st lap of the bike In the woman's race 2nd place is Kate Bevilaqua 3rd Kat Baker and chasing hard in 4th is running sensation Michelle Wu
  • The men's 40-44 age group is in the water with the teams just about to start they will be the final wave
  • Our first PC team has just gone on the overpass on the first lap of the bike. Team Vipavinee Artpradid
  • 2nd place PC team!

  • 1st age group woman at the overpass on lap 1 of the bike is Shannon Hill in the 35-39 age group
  • Towards the end of lap 1 on the bike and it's still a lead pack of 4 with Aussie Chris Kemp charging at the front!

  • Towards the end of the first bike lap and the leaders are Chris Kemp, Josh Amberger, Denis Vasiliev & Dylan McNeice
  • Male Chase pack still lead by Ollie Whistler towards the end of the 1st bike lap
  • Mary Beth Ellis now 45sec behind the lead male chase pack
  • The Ollie Whistler chase pack includes Alessandro Degasperi and Guy Crawford.
